+Does it work in any app?
Yes — Erratly runs system-wide. Any text field, in any Mac app, once you’ve granted accessibility access.
+Does my text ever leave my Mac?
Not by default. Corrections run entirely on-device and nothing is sent anywhere. Your text only leaves your Mac if you choose to connect a remote API in Settings.
+What if it fixes the wrong thing?
You can reject the whole correction, or hover any single change and click its ✕ to revert just that one before accepting.
+Does it work in languages other than English?
Yes — Many languages are supported.
+Can I change the shortcut?
Yes. Double-tap Ctrl is the default, but you can record any key combination in Settings (click the ✦ menu bar icon → Settings…).
+Can I use OpenAI or another model instead of the local one?
Yes. In Settings, switch to Remote API and enter a base URL, model name and your API key. It works with OpenAI and any OpenAI-compatible endpoint (OpenRouter, Groq, Ollama, LM Studio…). Your key is stored in the macOS Keychain.
+macOS says it can't verify the developer — what do I do?
